I wouldn't have popped out to the nursery to get a basil plant to replace the purple basil that disappeared over the weekend and been seduced by
the sign that read "20% off Hostas",
the smell of catmint in the air
and the florescent green Irish moss.
I came home with a summer planter full of annuals, 12 pots of moss, three hostas, I catmint, 3 liquorice plants, and a large pot of basil. It's official, I have absolutely no will power.

If only it had rained today...

The Irish Moss is seducing me. Everytime I set foot in the nursury it whispers my name. So far I have turned it down every time B/C I am not really sure where it would go.
I totally relate. Your plant haul sounds lovely.
I always feel like I overdo it at the nursery but once I get everything home, it never seems like enough! I love hostas by the way - my backyard always looks so much better when they come back in the spring.
Please let us know how that Irish Moss holds up. I've considered ordering it. I love the texture & lime color.
I was told to keep them well watered. It's been really wet here since they went in and they are looking great, still bright green and healthy.
