"Blanketed" is the term we usually employ to describe a snowy landscape. But that implies a soft layer of snow, lightly laid upon the ground. What we have here is 14" (36 cm) of heavy white stuff that is still falling. I'm calling it MATTRESSED!

Wow...I won't be complaining about our March storm in Chicago; we only got three inches.
It does look pretty.
Mattressed is perfect for that storm. I'm sick of cold & soggy feet.
