Polly spent another night outside. Even though it was just about freezing she absolutely refused to come in. So The Guy has issued a fiat: if the dog wants to be outside, she will have her own house. I'm now searching for a modern dog kennel. So far I like this one and this one, as they have sloping roofs and similar lines to the house. Anyone else got any better ideas?

Oh, Polly. How I love that smoochy face!
For the well-kept modern dog, I say Architectura - pricey, but chic:

Ooh, gorgeous but pricey. Not sure that particular dog is worth it!!!!
I like the dog house in the first link. Adorable dog.
Build your own! Charles and Hudson have a nice set of links on it.
Is it dangerous for her to stay out? Does she need a stern talkin' to? What's her number?
I think someone who's been to toolcamp could probably knock this out in an hour or so. Maybe a bit longer for this model?
Is Polly a Newf? House number one is very cool.
Polly- what is wrong? Get inside where it is warm.
My pup loves to come in for a very short period of time. Then he's bouncing off the walls to go back out. Freezing or not, he doesn't care. I think he gets claustrophobic and hot (lab/English setter mix with a double coat). I've given up on trying to force him to sleep inside-- and he has a big space in the garage that's all his, but he insists on sleeping in the flower bed. He's 14 years old and most spry when it's freezing cold outside ;-) Some dogs just love it
